I know a lot of people will be doing the War Hawk this weekend. I am planning on doing a brick at Cypress lake. If anyone is interested in joining me, email me at Jared_davis2@hotmail.com. I am not fast so this would be a great opportunity for new people to learn the course. This will be a no drop ride.
Date: 3/17/2012 Cypress lake loop 18.2 miles Roll out by 8 am

I see no one took you up on your offer. Very soon we should be having our "semi" organized brick workouts at Cypress starting up again. Once they start there is almost always someone there to swim, bike and/or run with. Hope to see you out there!

My wife (Andi) had a great time at this morning's brick. Thanks to those who showed her the ropes. I hope to join you for a workout myself sometime soon.

What's the water temp like out at Cypress now? I need to get in some open water swims as well.

I have been out a couple of times. Swam Sunday in my sleeveless, and was completely comfortable. It was in the afternoon though, but there were actually some spots that were really warm. Much warmer than just the week before. Honestly, I'm cold natured, but except for the initial shock getting in, you really don't even need a wetsuit. I would try without one next week if I wasn't going to be very busy at 70.3 Texas!

I have pretty good natural insulation but I'll take your word for it!
