Hey all. Anybody interested in a weekly or twice weekly early morning run in south Shreveport? My schedule dictates I am done/home by 6am. I live in 12 Oaks, but can drive as necessary. Email me at andymcel@hotmail.com if interested.
Thanks Andy McElvaine

Wow that is an early riser! If I didn't live all the way up in Belcher I would take you up on it. I do know that there are a bunch who do Hutch's track workouts on Wednesday's at 530-545 ish but I am not sure who all runs other than them that early. Hopefully you can find someone! I tend to train harder and smarter when I have someone with me.

I run every Saturday morning with the SMR group at 6am. They meet at Starbucks on Line Ave. an email with map & mileage is sent out every Thursday. I have a friend that lives in 12 oaks and I'll pass your email along to her. She is an early morning runner.

I Also live in 12 Oaks and leave for work by 5:45. If this is not too early I am up for at least 2 weekday runs of 30 to 45 minutes. My pace might be a little slow for most at 8:30 to 8:45.

Bsimmons--that is a good pace for me for my easier days or for the first part of a easy/hard run. Want to try a 430 or 445 start? Pick a day next week and we can meet up at the clubhouse for a trial run. Andy McElvaine

BSimmons... I'm going to have to cancel on you this week...really sorry. I am flying tomorrow night late and getting up early will jack up my circadium rhythm.
Can we try again next week? Again, my apologies.

No problem. I told my wife I would do P90X with her (we have a new 2 month old) and early mornings might be our best chance. She said she is finally ready to give it a try so we will start next week. I work in the oil and gas industry so understand schedules being interrupted. Unfortunately it has become a normal part of my life so I try to fit in what I can when I can. I will probably still try to fit in one or two early morning runs each week and replace some "cardio" days during P90X with a good run. I'll definitely plan on runs in the morning this summer as I get ready for the few 5150's I have planned. My pace will be a better match around then anyhow. Work has derailed training since the Galveston 5150 back in October so I am basically starting a base period right now. I'll send you an email at a later date to see if your still interested. -Brian -- Brian.simmons@chk.com
