Do we know if local EMS and ER personnel know what Road ID is? Or any identification system out there?
A good friend of mine in Monroe was in a crash a couple of weeks ago and the EMS guys didn't know. She was trying to point it out to them as she laid on the ground. They didn't know what she was talking about. They finally understood and now she's on her own crusade to make sure all EMS in northeast Louisiana know about these ID systems for when they come up on a cycling or running or similar situation.
I had never thought about the possibility that you could have ID on you (minus a driver's license) and that EMS possibly wouldn't know about looking for it.

Man! That's a very valid point. I recall when Trent went down we were trying to find one on him and they had NO CLUE what we were even looking for. I wonder who/where we would start to make this known! Thanks for a very insightful thought Alan!

This sounds like a great story. If anyone has any contact info or story that they would like to share shoot Roy Lang (sports editor at The Times) an email rflang@gannett.com or myself dougcollier@gannett.com
We both wear them and with as many cyclists/runners there are in the area this should be put out there.
